We drove through Mt. Revelstoke National Park, BC |

The visit to the driving of the last spike in the Canadian Pacific Railway. |
Our visit through Canada continued from Vancouver as we drove West on Canada Route 1. We camped at Lac Le Jeune Provicial Park in BC. The following day we visited Mt. Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park in BC. Our campground was the Eco Golden Campground in an idyllic valley surrounded by snow covered peaks.
We crossed into Alberta, to the Lake Louise Visitor Center. The weather was deteriorating but we were able to take in the film at the visitor center and hiked around Lake Louise. The lake was still covered in ice, but we were able to get a glimpse of the bright blue water created by the glacial till.
We spent the night at the campground in Banff National Park. We woke on June 1st to cold and 4 inches of snow and it was still coming down!!! We drove into town and visited the Banff Museum of Natural History and walked around the quaint shops. The snow was still coming down so there was nothing left to do but soak in the Banff Hot Springs. We left Banff warmed up and as soon as we descended the snow turned to rain. We continued on through Calagary, BC and had a chance to see some of the Olympic venues from the 1988 Games, and the Saddle Dome where the Calagary Flames play hockey.
