Balmorhea State Park TX. February 23

Balmorhea State Park in Southwest Texas provided a convenient stop on our way to Big Bend National Park. The park is the home of the famous San Solomon spring, a natural hot spring that maintains a year round temperature of 72-26 degrees!!!  They have built a 1.75 acre swimming pool to encompass the spring complete with a high diving board!

The evening we arrived the temps were in the low 80's so the kids took to the board immediately!

We had a pleasant surprise to meet another family from British Columbia, Canada travelling with their four children around the US and Canadian provinces for the past year! The children enjoyed swimming together. The next morning, Brent was kind enough to schedule a PE class for the seven children that included basketball and a swim!!

The high diver!
